Florida-based National Airlines has received US Federal Aviation Administration approval to launch foreign and domestic scheduled passenger flights.
The carrier is still awaiting final approval from the US Department of Transportation.
Based in Orlando, National operates charter passenger and cargo flights and also flies government contractors to the United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan.
"This tremendous addition to National's operating certificate reinforces our corporate commitment to serve every facet of transportation and logistics for our key clientele around the globe," says National Airlines' president Glen Joerger.
A National Airlines spokesperson says the carrier is not ready to disclose plans on where it plans to fly to with the new scheduled authority.
