Embraer (booth N5132) has clinched a firm order from executive aviation leasing company China's Minsheng Financial Leasing for 13 Legacy 650 business jets. The deal comes three months after the two companies signed a memorandum of understanding for 20 aircraft across the Embraer portfolio. Deliveries of the large-cabin Legacy 650s are set to begin at the end of the year and will continue until 2016. Speaking at the show this morning, Ernest Edwards, president of Embraer Executive Jets, said: "This order marks a significant advancement, not only in terms of partnership between the two parties, but also in terms of Embraer's business development in China."
The Legacy 650 - which entered service a year ago - has a range of 3,900nm (7,220km) and can fly four passengers nonstop from Beijing to Dubai or from Hong Kong to Adelaide.
