Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA) has financed a new Boeing 747-8F delivery through a sale and leaseback transaction.

The aircraft (MSN 36136) was delivered earlier this month but the sale and leaseback deal was completed on 8 November.

The lease term is six years, Flightglobal understands.

NCA also operates seven Boeing 747-400Fs and three 747-8F aircraft.

According to Flightglobal Ascend Online database, NCA has two additional 747-8F deliveries scheduled in December. In fiscal year 2014, the carrier will receive another three aircraft, while in fiscal year 2015, two more aircraft are planned for delivery.

The carrier financed the first two 747-8F aircraft earlier this year with its parent company NYK and Japanese investors. The 747-8Fs were financed through a synthetic lease structure with a 10-year term.
