Nepal Airlines has issued a tender seeking exchanges for the cores of six Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-27 turboprop engines.

The airline says that it is seeking quotations based on a flat rate exchange basis from engine MRO companies that have capabilities to overhaul the engine type and have approval from the US Federal Aviation Administration or other local authority, as well as the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal.

The tender will close at 17:00 hrs Kathmandu time on 23 May.

Flightglobal's Ascend Online database shows that these engines power Nepal Airlines' fleet of five de Havilland Canada DHC-6-300 Twin Otters.
