Boeing has appointed Marc Allen as the president of Boeing China.
Allen, who succeeds David Wang, will be based in Beijing and will report to Shep Hill, president, Boeing International and senior vice president business development and strategy.
As Boeing China's president, Allen will be responsible for government affairs and the development of Boeing China's strategy, focusing on new business and industrial partner opportunities, says Boeing.
Allen, 37, was VP of global law affairs and general counsel to Boeing International before his new appointment.
"Marc Allen is uniquely suited to lead our activities in China, having spent the last few years as an integral part of the company's global operations," says Boeing chairman and CEO Jim McNerney. He is one of our most capable leaders, and his prior experiences are well suited for this new, market-focused role."
Wang will continue to serve as an advisor to the company, says Boeing.
