BMI Regional has updated its flight code following its re-launch as an independent operator owned by consortium Sector Aviation Holdings (SAH).
The BD flight code used on all previous BMI Regional flights has now been replaced with BM.
"We are delighted to have acquired the BM code and its introduction marks another step forward in our ongoing development strategy by ensuring our flights are instantly recognisable," says SAH chairman Ian Woodley.
BMI Regional was acquired by SAH for £8 million ($13 million) in June, rescuing it from the winding down of BMI's brand by new parent company International Airlines Group.
Two new services were added to its route network on 29 October - Manchester-Antwerp and Aberdeen-Bristol - with further destinations expected to be announced in November.
The airline operates a fleet of 14 Embraer ERJ-145s and four ERJ-135s.
