Norwegian Air Shuttle has firmed up a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for 100 Airbus A320neos.

The Scandinavian carrier signed its MoU with Airbus in January, alongside a firm order for 100 Boeing 737 Max and 22 737-800s.

Purchase rights for an additional 100 737 Max and 50 A320neos were attached to the deal, worth 127 billion Norwegian kroner ($20.9 billion).

At the time, chief executive Bjoern Kjos said his strategy was to act "counter-cyclically" during periods of economic decline.
