Norwegian Air Shuttle has signed up for six more Boeing 737-800s, taking the low-cost carrier's order for the Next Generation 737 to 48 aircraft. The airline took delivery of its first 737 ordered directly from Boeing in August, having previously built its fleet to 13 aircraft through leases. The twinjet is "the right answer for a point-to-point airline like Norwegian Air Shuttle," says the carrier's chief executive Bjorn Kjos.
