Former KPMG aviation finance specialist Pat O’Brien has joined the board of directors of Apollo Aviation Management, the Irish subsidiary of Apollo Aviation Group.

With postings in both Dublin and New York, O’Brien’s 32 years with KPMG saw him act as tax advisor to many international aviation leasing firms. He became a specialist on the cross-border tax implications of leasing aircraft into multiple jurisdictions. O’Brien also worked with the Irish Department of Finance on many legislative amendments to support Ireland’s pre-eminent position in the aviation sector.

“O’Brien’s wealth of experience will ensure he provides strong and able leadership as Apollo Aviation Management rapidly becomes one of the largest mid-life aircraft lessors based in Ireland,” says Apollo Aviation Group’s chairman William Hoffman.
