China's Okay Airways has taken delivery of its ninth and tenth MA60 turboprops, completing its long-term leasing arrangement with AVIC International Leasing.
Under the deal, the carrier also has the option to purchase the 10 aircraft. With 10 MA60s in its fleet, Okay Airway is the largest operator of the type in the country.
In July, the privately-owned carrier also signed a framework agreement with AVIC Aircraft, the Export-Import Bank of China and AVIC Leasing covering funding commitments of up to CNY 7 billion. The funds are for the purchase of up to 50 MA Series aircraft, said AVIC Aircraft in a statement on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange at that time.
Flightglobal's Ascend Online Fleets database shows that there are 76 MA60s worldwide, 28 of which are in storage.
Okay Airways also has 12 Boeing 737s in operation.
