Operating lessor Orix Aviation closed a total of 12 aircraft transactions in the second quarter of this year.
The lessor also added two 2012-vintage Airbus A320s to its portfolio with lease attached to China Eastern Airlines. The 2012-vintage aircraft (MSNs 5047, 5048) were purchased in April.
Flightglobal's Ascend online database says the CFM International CFM56- 5B4/3 PIP-powered aircraft were initially leased by Aviation Capital Group.
Orix continued its fleet expansion in the second quarter with the purchase of three new vintage A320s (MSNs 5542, 5592 and 5702) from Easyjet under a purchase and leaseback agreement.
It also sold one 2003-vintage aircraft with a lease attached and completed the sale of four Boeing 737 Classics, including a -500 series and three -300 series aircraft.
Orix also signed two operating leases, including a 1998-vintage 737-400 with Air Company Tatarstan and a 1997-vintage 737-800 with Sun Express.
