Philippine Airlines (PAL) plans to launch a Cebu-Taipei Taoyuan service and raise frequencies on some other routes.
The carrier will commence a weekly Cebu-Taipei service from 19 November, but it has not specified the type of aircraft to be used on the route.
PAL also plans to raise the frequency on its Manila-Macau route from four to seven times weekly, and from seven to 11 times weekly on the Manila-Los Angeles route. Changes on the two routes will take place on 27 October and 24 November respectively.
In addition, sister carrier PAL Express will increase frequencies on the Iloilo-Puerto Princesa route from three to four times weekly on 6 October. The Manila-Cotabato service also be increased from seven to 10 times weekly on 2 October.
Innovata schedules show that PAL will be the only operator on the Cebu-Taipei Taoyuan route and it competes with Cebu Pacific on the Manila-Macau route.
