Pratt & Whitney has signed five new contracts for its engine management programme.
In the USA, cargo airline Southern Air agreed to an eight-year contract covering 12 Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines. Capital Cargo also signed up for a five-year agreement for the engine management programme for six PW2000 engines.
International customers include China Cargo, which opted for a three-year agreement on four PW2000 engines; Greece's Astra Airlines, which chose a three-year agreement for its IAE V2500 engines; and Icelandair , which inked a five-year deal for eight PW4060 engines.
Pratt & Whitney's engine management programme monitors and analyses engine data. Operators can use it to manage maintenance planning and control costs.
