Pratt & Whitney Global Service Partners' Shanghai Engine Center has recently delivered its first overhauled CFM56-3C-1 engine to Jetstar Pacific Airlines.

The engine order will power the carrier's fleet of Boeing 737-400 aircraft.

The CFM56 engine is the first the Shanghai Engine Center has delivered to an overseas customer in the Asia Pacific region, said the aircraft engine manufacturer.

The Shanghai Engine Center, a joint venture with China Eastern Airlines, is Pratt & Whitney's first engine center in China.

The 23,000 square-meter facility meets the Platinum standards of the United States Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system.
