Pan Am flight academy wins FAA training deal

The FAA has selected Pan Am International Flight Academy to provide aircraft pilot training to agency inspectors on a variety of aircraft.

The three-year contract is valued at nearly $3.5 million.

Covered aircraft include Airbus A300s, Boeing 737-200s and -300s, 747s and 747-400s, 767s, 777s, Bombardier CRJ-100s, -200s and -700s, Embraer ERJ-170s and ERJ-190s, SAAB 340s, DC8s, Cessna Caravan 208s and CL-600s.

The training will reach FAA Level C and D and include 6-axis full-motion simulators.
