Alcoa has tabled a multi-year agreement with Airbus for aluminium sheet and plate products using Alcoa's current and advanced-generation aluminium alloys.

The companies reached the agreement during the recent Paris air show, and estimated the vale of the deal at $1 billion.

Alcoa stated the products will be used across virtually all of the Airbus commercial programmes, and its flat rolled products are being supplied from its plants in Davenport, Iowa, Kitts Green in the UK and Belaya Kalitva in Russia.
