The Safran Group has announced at Paris that it is entering the safety services sector and has teamed up with two expert partners - Australia-based Aerosafe Risk Management and UK-based Gael.

To be brand-named Cassiopee, the service will bring together all the safety and risk management services an operator needs into one system, rather than running several systems departmentally, said Safran.

Philippe Arnaud, senior vice-president sales and marketing for the avionics division of Safran Group company Sagem, shook hands with his two new partners in Cassiopee, Aerosafe chief executive Kimberley Turner and Gael chief operating officer Ashley Marron.

Gael's Q-Pulse safety information management system will be one of the tools in Cassiopee's portfolio.

The group expects to offer services to airlines, business aviation operations, helicopter operators and specialist aviation companies, such as emergency medical services.
