Qatar Airways has taken its 2011 Boeing 777 orders to 11, following the announcement of a deal for six more -300ERs at the Paris air show.
In April, the Doha-based airline placed orders for five 777s, comprising two 777-300ERs and three 777 Freighters. The Paris show announcement for six -300ERs takes the airline's 2011 777 orders to 11 worth almost $3 billion at list prices. All 777-300ERs are powered by General Electric GE90-115B engines.
Qatar Airways' 777 fleet comprises 25 aircraft in service and a further 15 on order, for a total of 40 aircraft. The fleet includes a mix of 777-200LRs, -300ERs and 777Fs.
