A number of passengers were treated by airport doctors and one passenger taken to hospital with a suspected broken bone after an Iberia Airbus A340-600-operated flight to the Peruvian capital Lima hit turbulence yesterday.

Iberia flight IB6653 from Madrid to Lima was carrying 356 passengers onboard.

"The flight suffered some turbulence yesterday and as a consequence some passengers had to be treated by doctors at the airport of Lima," says an Iberia spokesperson. The carrier says all the passengers left the airport by their own means, apart from one who was taken to hospital for treatment on a broken toe.
