Pegasus Airlines transforms first-half fortunes

Pegasus Airlines' first-half net profit of TL44.1 million ($22.6 million) reversed a loss of TL70.2 million in the same period of 2012.

The Turkish carrier's ancillary revenues grew 15% to TL19 per passenger. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, amortisation and rent (EBITDAR) leapt from TL57 million to TL200 million.

Passenger numbers rose more than a fifth to 7.55 million.
