Pemco World Air Services plans to purchase Boeing 757 cargo conversion operations and assets from Alcoa-SIE Conversions.

A key asset included in the purchase agreement is the Boeing 757-200 supplemental type certificate, which grants Alcoa-SIE the regulatory authority to retrofit passenger configured 757s for use as freighters.

Pemco says it expects full implementation of the agreement to be complete next year. "Along with our freighter, combi, and quick-change configurations of the 737-300 and 737-400, the 757 freighter will round out the product portfolio in the Pemco family of narrowbody cargo aircraft options," says Pemco president Kevin Casey.
