Perth airport will open its new domestic terminal on 2 March.

Construction of the A$120 million ($124 million) Terminal 2, the first new terminal to be built at Perth airport in 26 years, commenced in September 2011.

Terminal 2 will initially be used by Skywest and Alliance Airlines, with Tiger Airways moving to the new facility in May.

Skywest and Alliance offer charter services to support the workforce deployment to the resource-rich areas of Western Australia, and Terminal 2 was built with this primary consideration, says Perth airport.
