Manila-based Philippine Airlines has completed the sale and leaseback of a new Airbus A330-300 with GECAS, confirms the operating lessor.
The transaction follows the sale and leaseback of a pair of A330-300s in the second quarter, with AWAS. The first aircraft closed in April, the second in June.
Last month, another lessor, FLY Leasing, disclosed its acquisition of three 2013/14-vintage A330-300s under a purchase-and-leaseback transaction with an Asian carrier. Sources say the three units were purchased from Philippine Airlines.
