Philippine Airlines (PAL) plans to launch services to six new destinations in Malaysia, Australia, China and the Middle East.

It will operate four weekly flights on Manila-Kuala Lumpur route from 1 May, says the carrier.

Starting 1 June, the airline will operate a thrice weekly Manila-Darwin-Brisbane service, and four times weekly services on the Manila-Darwin-Perth and Manila-Guangzhou routes.

PAL will use Airbus A320 family aircraft on services from Manila to Brisbane, Perth, Kuala Lumpur and Guangzhou.

The daily Manila-Abu Dhabi service will also begin on 1 October, using Airbus A330-300 aircraft, it adds.

Innovata schedules show that PAL will be the only operator on the Manila-Darwin-Perth route. It will compete with carriers such as Cebu Pacific on routes from Manila to Kuala Lumpur and Guangzhou,
