Philippine’s Cebu Pacific Q2 traffic increases by 15%

Philippine carrier Cebu Pacific Air has posted a 15% increase in passenger traffic for this year's second quarter.

The low-cost carrier said in a statement on Monday that in the quarter ending 30 June, its total passenger numbers rose 15% to 3.1 million, compared with the same period last year.

Domestic passenger traffic rose 13% to 2.42 million and international passenger numbers rose 21% to 683,000.

It also achieved a record 89% load factor in the second quarter, surpassing the load factors of 88% in the second quarter of 2010.
