Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has resissued a tender seeking proposals to dry-lease up to 10 narrowbody jets for eight years.
The new tender follows the closure of a similar one on 7 March. Documents show that PIA had accepted bids to lease eight Airbus A320s from Qatar Aviation Lease Company, however it is appears that the contract for those aircraft has not been executed.
The latest tender specifies that the airline is seeking aircraft manufactured in 2010 or later with a minimum of 175 seats that would be available for delivery between 15 June and 14 August. It did not specify a particular type.
Responses to the latest tender are due by 15:00 local time to PIA’s head office in Karachi.
Flightglobal’s Ascend Online Fleets database shows that the airline has a fleet of 27 aircraft, including two Boeing 737-800s that are wet-leased from Travel Service Airlines.
