PIA to sell 747 parts

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is in the market to sell one Boeing 747-200 Combi aircraft scrapped structures.

The carrier has invited bids for the disposal of the 1980-vintage aircraft equipped with CF6-50E2 engines.

The aircraft, currently parked in Karachi, is presented "as is where is". It was withdrawn from use in July 2009, according to Flightglobal's Ascend online database.

Bids have to be sent by 17 September.
