Etihad Regional conducted its first commercial operation under its new brand name today.
Flight F7154 from Geneva to Rome Fiumicino was operated by Swiss-based Darwin Airline using a 50-seat Saab 2000 tubroprop adorned with the Etihad Regional livery.
All 10 Saab 2000s in the Darwin fleet are to be painted with the Etihad Regional scheme by mid-year.
Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways has taken a one-third stake in Darwin.
The Lugano-based carrier launched a daily service between Geneva and the Italian capital in March 2011, and has since tripled its frequency on the route.
