Japan Airlines (JAL) has celebrated its full membership of Oneworld, the global airline alliance, by putting into service a Boeing 777-200ER with a specially designed livery.

Sporting Oneworld’s distinctive blue globe, the aircraft, registration JA704J, is used to serve JAL’s European destinations, including Amsterdam and Paris.

The Japanese carrier joined the alliance on 1 April, adding about 50 new destinations to the grouping’s network. A 777-300 with the same livery will be unveiled at the end of the month and serve Japanese domestic routes.

Other members of Oneworld include American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Iberia and Qantas.
