Sukhoi will deliver more than 20 upgraded Su-27SM fighters, Su-24M2 interdiction aircraft and Su-25SM attack aircraft to the Russian air force this year.

Sukhoi general director Mikhail Pogosyan says the company has been delivering these upgraded aircraft - modified during major overhaul - for two years. "The schedule of deliveries, the quantity and quality of these upgraded aircraft fully correspond to the requirements and specifications of the Russian air force".

Pogosyan says the company and Russia's arms exporter Rosoboronexport have also signed a firm order with Indonesia for additional Su-27 and Su-30MK fighters.

He says that deliveries to India and Malaysia have been proceeding as scheduled, and Algeria is to receive its first Su-30MKA later this year. Together with NPK Irkut, Sukhoi will deliver more than 50 Sukhoi type combat aircraft to overseas customers this year, Pogosyan says.
