Turkmenistan Airlines has taken delivery of the first of two Boeing 777-200LR twinjets it has on order.

The delivery coincided with the opening of a new terminal at Ashgabat International airport, where Turkmenistan Airlines is based.

"The performance and range of the airplane, as well as its great economics, will contribute significantly to our fleet expansion strategy," says Merdan Ayazov, the carrier's chief executive.
