The first pictures of the Iberia Airbus A319 that has been repainted into the airline’s earlier livery have emerged.

The A319 “retrojet” (EC-KKS) was ferried from the Spanish flag carrier’s Madrid Barajas base to the Cuatro Vientos general aviation airfield south of the city on 12 December. It will be officially unveiled on Friday 14 December to mark the airline’s the 80th anniversary.

Cuatro Vientos is close to the Carabanchel Alto where Iberia began services 80 years ago. The airport has a 1,500m (4,920ft) runway and the A319 was the first large aircraft to operate into it.
