Pinnacle Airlines will start using the name Endeavor Air from early August pending regulatory approval, an application with the US Department of Transportation (DOT) confirms.
Pinnacle will continue to operate under the Delta Connection brand, but for corporate purposes will be known as Endeavor Air. The regional carrier emerged from bankruptcy as a subsidiary of Delta Air Lines on 1 May after filing for Chapter 11 in April 2012.
Pinnacle is in the process of phasing out 140 of its 50-seat Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft before 2016. It will eventually operate 81 Bombardier CRJ900s on behalf of Delta. The carrier will be moving its headquarters back to Minneapolis-St Paul airport after leaving the airport in 2011 to move into an office in downtown Memphis.
