Dubai-based airport ground-handling specialist Dnata is to re-brand its 2010 UK acquisition, Plane Handling, with immediate effect.
"The UK is a very important market for Dnata, and one in which we have expanded considerably in recent years," said Dnata chairman Gary Chapman.
Managing director of Plane Handling, Robert Williams, commented that new opportunities had opened up for his company since Dnata's acquisition, notably in the form of an influx of investment. "Assuming the Dnata identity is the logical next step and enables us to benefit from being a truly integrated part of a respected global air services provider."
Plane Handling employs more than 1,800 people at London Heathrow and Manchester airports, providing cargo, ramp, and passenger handling services to more than 30 airlines.
