Pluna has confirmed plans to launch service to Belo Horizonte, which next month will become the Uruguayan carrier's eighth Brazilian destination.
ATI reported in November that Pluna was planning to focus expansion on Brazil with Belo Horizonte, Brasilia and Campinas as potential new destinations. Pluna launched service to Campinas last month and on 20 January announced the start of Belo Horizonte service from 21 February.
Pluna also now serves the Brazilian destinations of Porto Alegre, Florianópolis, Foz de Iguazú, Curitiba, San Pablo and Río de Janeiro.
Pluna says it will serve Belo Horizonte, the sixth largest city in Brazil, with four weekly frequencies from its Montevideo hub. Pluna operates a fleet of 10 Bombardier CRJ900s.
