Porter passenger traffic up 3.5% in December

Canadian carrier Porter Airlines posted a 3.5% year-on-year increase in its passenger traffic in December.

Capacity for the month grew 2.9% as the load factor rose 0.4 percentage point to 64.3% during the period.

On a full-year basis, passenger traffic in 2012 rose 14%, while capacity was up 13.6%. The load factor increased 0.3 percentage point to 62%.

The airline carried 2.45 million passengers compared with 2.13 million in 2011, representing a 15% increase.
