Porter traffic falls 11.9% in November

Canadian carrier Porter Airlines posted an 11.9% year-on-year decline in passenger traffic in November.

Capacity increased 6.7% as the load factor fell by 11.4 percentage points to 54.5% during the period.

On a year-to-date basis, passenger traffic rose 15.1%, while capacity was up 14.7% and the load factor increased by 0.3 percentage points to 61.8%.

"We are encouraged to see passenger yield improve significantly from recent months," says Robert Deluce, president and chief executive of Porter Airlines.
