Porter traffic up 18.3% in July

Canadian carrier Porter Airlines has posted 18.3% year-on-year growth in passenger traffic in July.

Capacity increased 12.9% as the load factor grew 3.3 percentage points to 70.1%.

Robert Deluce, president and chief executive officer of Porter Airlines, says: "The peak summer travel season is meeting our expectations with strong demand projected for coming months. Our team is doing an excellent job of maintaining the premium Porter experience while serving an ever-increasing number of passengers."

Through the first seven months of 2012, traffic rose 26.9%, capacity grew 19.3% and the load factor increased by 3.6 percentage points to 61.1%.
