Premium Aerotec's chief operating officer Dieter Meiners has resigned.

The German aerostructure manufacturer said in a statement that Meiners agreed with the supervisory board to resign with immediate effect and leave the company.

Meiners made a decisive contribution to the introduction of carbonfibre technology to the company, said chief executive Kai Horten.

He added that the opening of the manufacturing site in Brasov, Romania earlier this year and the production ramp-up for the A350 "carried Meiners' signature".

Premium Aerotec declined to comment on the reasons for Meiners' departure.
