Royal Brunei Airlines has selected the Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM powerplant to power its recently ordered Airbus A320neo aircraft.

On 4 May the carrier announced its long-anticipated decision for a new narrowbody aircraft, which will replace its existing A320 fleet.

According to Flightglobal’s Ascend Online database, Royal Brunei operates six A320 family aircraft, all of which are leased from CIT Aerospace.

The carrier’s widebody fleet comprises four Boeing 787-8s, with a fifth to be delivered in 2014, and three 777-200ERs, of which one is in storage. The 777s are owned by Singapore Airlines.
