Qantas has applied to the International Air Services Commission (IASC) for the renewal of capacity allocations on the China, Indonesia and Vietnam routes, which will expire within the next 12 months.

The allocation on the Vietnam route allows a weekly frequency of dedicated freight capacity. The carrier is seeking a renewal of this allocation for a further five years, starting 13 January 2014. Qantas expects the capacity to be fully utilised by 31 December 2016.

The determination on the China route allocates 2,301 weekly seats in each direction and includes conditions for joint services with China Eastern Airlines. The carrier is seeking a renewal of this determination for a further five years from 2 March 2014.

The carrier has an allocation of 389 weekly seats on the Indonesia route and this includes four weekly passenger services beyond Indonesia. It is seeking a renewal of this allocation for a further five years, starting 3 April 2014.
