Qantas Airways will begin codesharing on services operated by Brindabella Airlines starting 1 August.

It will place its code on the Brisbane-Tamworth, Brisbane-Coffs Harbour, Sydney-Newcastle, Sydney-Moree and Sydney-Orange routes that Brindabella serves, says Qantas.

"Today's announcement underlines Qantas's commitment to regional Australia, as we continue to invest in new aircraft, increase capacity and improve our airport and lounge facilities for our customers across the country," says Qantas domestic chief executive Lyell Strambi.

Brindabella Airlines is an Australian regional carrier established in 1994. It operates domestic services using a fleet of five BAE Systems Jetstream 31 and 41, and five Fairchild Metroliner turboprops.
