QantasLink has moved its operations from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3 at Sydney airport in a move that Qantas says will make it easier for passengers to connect between regional and domestic services.

"With QantasLink services now in Terminal 3, customers can expect smoother connections between regional, domestic and international services and will no longer have to transfer between terminals to connect to their domestic Qantas flight," says Qantas domestic chief executive Lyell Strambi.

Terminal 3, which was originally the domestic terminal of now defunct airline Ansett Australia, is also used by Jetstar, Tigerair Australia, Regional Express and Virgin Australia.

Terminal 2 is exclusively used by Qantas.
