Qatar Airways is set to add Mozambique to its African network with the launch of a Doha-Maputo service on 31 October.

The airline will operate thrice weekly flights to the Mozambican capital via Johannesburg with a Boeing 777.

The new service advances Qatar Airways's expansion plan for the African continent, which recently included the launch of daily flights from Doha to the Rwandan capital Kigali.

The flag carrier is also launching daily services to Tanzania's Kilimanjaro on 25 July, followed by daily flights to Mombasa on 15 August.
