Qatar Airways is to boost its frequency between Doha and Manchester, effective 1 June.

The carrier says it will increase its frequency from daily flights to twice-daily service on the route.

Qatar Airways chief executive Akbar Al Baker says: "The second daily service will allow Qatar Airways to grow the passenger market for both inbound and outbound travel to Manchester, as well as build up our cargo freighter capacity on the route."

Qatar Airways will continue to operate Airbus A330 aircraft on the route.
