Gulfstream's patented Quiet Spike sonic boom mitigator has been flown supersonically mounted on a Boeing F-15 operated by NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center at Edwards AFB, California.

The multi-segment, telescoping boom was flown at Mach 1.2 and 45,000ft (13,700m), extended to its maximum length of 7.3m.
