Rolls-Royce has delivered the first Trent 900 jet engine produced at its Seletar, Singapore, facility to Airbus in Toulouse.

"The delivery of the first Trent aero engine produced in Singapore is a significant milestone for us," says R-R's director for the Seletar campus, Paul O'Neil.

"It represents a huge collaborative effort with colleagues in the UK supporting our team here to ensure that the engine, produced to our exacting standards, was delivered on time," he adds.

The Trent 900 is one of two engine choices on the Airbus A380, the other being the Engine Alliance GP7200.

R-R officially opened its Seletar campus in February 2012, including a Trent assembly and test unit, wide chord fan blade manufacturing facility, advanced technology centre and a regional training centre.
