Republic searches for new CFO after Cooper announces retirement

Republic Airways Holdings has retianed the services of executive search firm Spencer Stuart to appoint a new CFO after EVP and CFO Robert "Hal" Cooper has decided to retire from the airline industry.

Cooper, who has been with Republic for 11 years, will remain in his current role until a successor has been named and a transition is completed, which is expected to be in the first quarter of 2011.

During the transition period, Timothy P. Dooley, vice president - financial planning and analysis, and Joe Allman, vice president and controller, will work closely with Cooper to ensure a successful transition of responsibilities.

Republic Airways'chairman and CEO Bryan Bedford, who has worked with Cooper for 18 years at three different airlines comments: "He has made significant contributions at each and he will surely be missed."
