Republic traffic down 0.5% in December

Regional carrier Republic Airways Holdings saw a 0.5% decline in its passenger traffic on a 4% decrease in capacity during December compared to a year earlier.

Republic's consolidated load factor for the month was 82%, up 3 percentage points.

The regional airline carried 2.54 million passengers in December, up 2% year-on-year.

On a year-to-date basis, passenger traffic and capacity declined by 1% and 3% respectively. The airline's load factor rose 2 percentage points to 82% compared with the corresponding period last year.

Passenger numbers fell 2% to 30.8 million.
