Rolls-Royce, HAL JV begins construction of Bangalore facility

International Aerospace Manufacturing (IAMPL), the joint venture between Rolls-Royce and Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) has begun construction of a new facility in Bangalore.

The 7,200m² (77,500ft²) site will produce components for Trent-family engines and for a number of marine and energy turbines, said Rolls-Royce.

The facility is located near the HAL airport in Bangalore and will start production in 2012, the company added.
